As some of you know I want to have my own fashion brand. I want to start a brand that embodies my interest. I’m obsessed with old and modern aesthetics, psychedelic rock n roll music, and two of my favorite people to have walked this earth were Yves Saint Laurent and Andy Warhol. All of these elements has inspired me to come up with Saint Warhol. Here are a few campaign ads I came up with, so you get an idea of what my brand will be about. Enjoy. This is only the beginning!!!
To me, personal style says a lot about someone. It represents their personal interest. Whether they are influenced by music, literature or art. You can guess through their style.
My friend Jacob, has great personal style and it shows. He loves antiques, vintage shopping, woodwork and thrifting. Check out the finds he came across over the years and see how he put his favorite pieces together to create his look.
Leave a comment and tell me about your personal style.
Gypsy Cowgirl, was the theme of this photoshoot I styled a few months ago for Eleonora Palmieri Photography. Plush textures, delicate lace, and unbelievably soft fur took place for this amazing shoot and Scout model Veronica Rose looked great sporting the looks. Check out the outcome, with behind the scene footage of the shoot.
December, you are my favorite month of the year. I enjoy your festive lights, dreary weather, and all the people who sport head to toe black attire. Some say wearing all black is sad, but I think it is rad. Check out these cool peeps I saw rockin’ head to toe black on my route to work.
Recently, one of my many dreams came true and I got to see 90’s tween superstar Macaulay Culkin perform in parody pizza band, The Pizza Underground. If you haven’t heard already this band sings songs entirely about pizza to the famous experimental band, The Velvet Underground music. If you are just as obsessed with Andy Warhol and The Velvet Underground as I am, you would have had a pizza-gasm watching them perform. Also, did I mention they gave out free pizza!!!!
When you put all things dreamy into one sound you get the Oakland band, Shannon and the Clams. Their sound is between 1950’s oldies-1960’s girl group, punk Doo-wop, garage psych, surf, rock and roll and you can tell their sound has been Influenced by all the greats, like Buddy Holly. Here’s the night I went to see them play at the Eagle Tavern in San Francisco, CA.
Nov 14, 2014: This event was an interesting one. After a much needed nap I got dressed and went to Friday Nights at the de Young. The theme of the night was Activist Fair & DJ Night: “Godfather of Bathhouse Disco” located in San Francisco, CA. Happening now at the de Young from November 8, 2014 until February 16, 2015. Is the Keith Haring: Political Line special exhibition. However, on this particular evening I only went to the free event that was all the way Keith Haring inspired. It was like Keith was there himself. The sound of the event was 80’s new wave, disco-funk, avant-grade and filled with loudly dressed individual’s.
